Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026 (draft)
This policy explains how OreKey (the keyboard and its settings app, “the App”), provided by alps.tokyo (“we”), and this website handle your information.
1. Our approach
- We do not collect what you type, how you use the App, or what you register.
- The App does not use the network. All processing, including kana-kanji conversion, happens on your device.
- There are no ads, analytics or tracking.
- Full Access is not required. Typing, conversion, learning and the dictionary work without it (it is used only for haptics and key clicks).
- This website is served by Cloudflare Pages. It has no analytics or ads.
The only exception is what you send us through the contact form on the Support page (Section 8).
2. What stays on your device
The following is stored only on your device to make the App useful. It is never sent anywhere, and we cannot see it.
- Conversion learning: the readings and words of conversions you actually chose, so they rank higher.
- Dictionary: readings and words you registered.
- Email addresses and phone numbers you registered, offered when you type their first few characters.
- Settings such as haptics, key clicks, learning and command input.
This information may be included in your iPhone backups (iCloud or computer). Backups are governed by Apple’s terms.
3. Deleting it
- Learning: “Reset learning” in the app or keyboard settings.
- Dictionary, email addresses and phone numbers: delete entries one by one in settings.
- Everything: deleting the App removes its data from your device.
4. Restricted fields
In fields iOS protects, such as password fields, the system keyboard is used instead of the App.
5. Children
The App can be used at any age. As described above, we do not collect children’s information either.
6. Third parties
We do not provide, sell or rent your information to third parties. We use an email delivery service (Resend) to deliver contact form messages (Section 8). We respond to legally required disclosure within the scope of the law.
7. Changes
We will announce changes to this policy on this page. Significant changes to how information is handled (for example, if the App started to use the network) will also be noted in the App’s release notes.
8. Contact
We accept inquiries through the form on the Support page.
What you send (type, message, and optionally your iPhone model, iOS version and reply-to address) and the device information your browser sends (user agent and screen size) are delivered to our email through Resend, an email delivery service in the United States. We use them only to reply and to investigate problems, and do not store them on the website. We briefly handle your IP address to prevent repeated sending, but do not record or store it.
The form can be sent only if you agree to this section, including delivery through a third party in the United States.
9. Requests about your data
To request notification of purpose, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure or suspension of provision to third parties of personal data we hold about you (such as contact emails), please use the form in Section 8. We will confirm your identity and respond without delay as required by law. Complaints and questions are handled through the same form.
10. Provider
The App is provided by alps.tokyo. We will tell you the operator’s name and address without delay upon request.
